Finding My Way

As I look back to the beginning of my YAV year to this point of time I have determined that I have grown a lot as a person and I have learned so many new things as well. I grown personally and I have grown in my faith with God. I have learned how to think of myself (not to sound selfish) and how to really listen to what God is telling me. Because of everything that I have been growing in and from really listening to God I have been able to see that Kenya at this point in my life is not where I am suppose to be.
I left Kenya to come back home on January 9, 2012. I was finally able to put myself ahead of others and think of what is best for me and think of where God is leading me at this point in my life. I have learned that God can call you to a certain place and then He can call you right out of that place when your time is over there. Even though my time in Kenya is over right now, my life has been forever changed by the time that I spent learning and living in Kenya. I am so thankful that I was able to have that time to learn and grow over there.
Now that I am back in the states I was able to start to understand that this is where God is calling me. It took me awhile to figure out how I would tell all of my friends and family about my decision of coming home, but I have finally determined how to do that and that is just to come right out with it! I still want to finish out my YAV year and I am hoping to complete it at a national site. I am now in the process of interviewing with the national sites that have asked for my information which are Miami, New Orleans, San Antonio, and Atlanta. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks the interviews will be done and I will find a site where God is calling me to serve. I know God has a great plan for me and all I have to do is listen and let Him guide me and everything will work out for the best.
Thank you for everyone that is supporting me prayerfully and financially. Your help is always needed. Please keep me in your prayers as I discern my next call in my life.
